The forests grow quieter, the paths brighter – and the hotel’s own ski lift nearby is just a few steps away from the Zuflucht. Those who spend their ski holiday in the Black Forest with us set off straight from the hotel into the fun: whether on skis, on a board or on a leisurely winter hike through the snow.

For cross-country enthusiasts, the Zuflucht is a true paradise. Right outside the hotel stretches a network of over 70 kilometres of trails with both classic and skating tracks. Glide through the quiet, snow-covered Black Forest landscape, breathe in the crisp winter air and enjoy the harmonious combination of sport and nature.

Just 50 metres from the hotel entrance, winter begins in the most beautiful way: with a ski lift that hums softly, powder snow under your skis and sweeping views across the Rhine valley to the Vosges. The hotel’s own Zuflucht ski lift is not a ski circus – but a place for genuine moments. For spontaneous runs. For first attempts. For that feeling that winter is simply there – not far away, but right on your doorstep. In addition to the classic piste, the ski lift also offers a fun park with obstacles of varying difficulty levels, illuminated by floodlights until 9:30 pm after dark.

2:00 pm to 5:00 pm – floodlights until 9:00 pm / 10:00 pm
Saturday & Sunday:
9:00 am to 5:00 pm – floodlights until 8:00 pm / 9:00 pm
Shrove Monday & Shrove Tuesday:
9:00 am to 5:00 pm – floodlights until 9:00 pm

Point tickets:
Rides under floodlights (from 5:00 pm) cost more points than daytime rides.
Point tickets remain valid throughout the entire season.

Cosiness at the edge of the slopes
“Einkehrschwung” ski hut
One last turn, unclip your skis, step into the warm hut: The “Einkehrschwung” hut is located right next to the Zuflucht ski lift – small, rustic, authentic. Inside, it smells of mulled wine, cake and soup, outside the snow sparkles. Here, it’s not just the drinks that warm you, but the good cheer – and once you’ve taken a seat, you’ll be happy to stay a little longer. Perhaps until it’s time to head back out. Perhaps not. When the ski lift is operating, the ski hut is open for you from 12:00 noon until the last run.
