Your Zuflucht in the Black Forest

At around 1,000 metres above sea level, the Zuflucht lies where the Black Forest becomes especially quiet – and especially impressive. Surrounded by forests, meadows and far-reaching views, our house is the ideal starting point for everyone who wants to experience nature, get moving or simply breathe deeply. The location: in the middle of the national park, above Bad Peterstal-Griesbach, near the Kniebis, on the Black Forest High Road. And always a little closer to yourself.

Your way to the Zuflucht

Arrival by car

No matter which direction you are coming from – the road to the Zuflucht leads you right into the heart of the Black Forest. From the north or south, take the A81 (Singen–Stuttgart), exit at Horb and follow the signs towards Freudenstadt, then continue towards Strasbourg/Kniebis. If you are travelling from the west, take the A5 (Karlsruhe–Basel) and exit at Appenweier – from there, the route to Freudenstadt is well signposted. Between Kniebis and Bad Peterstal-Griesbach you will find the hotel just off the Black Forest High Road – clearly visible, with ample free parking spaces directly in front of the building. There are also two charging points available for electric cars. And if your sat nav ever lets you down: just keep heading towards tranquillity.
